Role Description
This is a flexible, part-time or full-time, clinic-based position for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, located in Ennis, TX. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will assist licensed speech-language pathologists in providing therapy sessions, document patient progress using Simple Practice EMR, and implement individualized treatment plans. The role involves working closely with patients of various ages and backgrounds to improve their communication skills and address speech and language disorders.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Texas SLPA license
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their communication development.
- Deliver therapy sessions under the supervision of the SLP, implementing evidence-based strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
